Author Guidelines

1. General Information

Jurnal Riset Informatika dan Komputer (JURIKO) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Association of Informatics and Computer Researchers for Research (PILAR). JURIKO accepts original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication in any other journal, conference proceeding, or publication platform.

Submitted manuscripts must be relevant to the journal's focus and scope and comply with recognized standards of publication ethics and academic integrity.

2. Types of Manuscripts

JURIKO accepts the following types of articles:

  • Research Articles
  • Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR)
  • Case Studies
  • Methodological or Model Development Articles
  • Technology Application and Informatics Innovation Articles

3. Language

  • Manuscripts may be written in either English or Indonesian.
  • Titles, abstracts, and keywords must be provided in both English and Indonesian.
  • Authors should use clear, concise, and academically appropriate language.

4. Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

Title
  • Concise, informative, and representative of the study.
Author Information
  • Full name(s) without academic titles.
  • Institutional affiliation(s).
  • Corresponding author email address.
Abstract
  • Provided in both English and Indonesian.
  • Length between 150–250 words.
  • Must include objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.
  • Should not contain citations or references.
Keywords
  • Consist of 5 keywords.
  • Should accurately reflect the content of the study.
Introduction
  • Research background.
  • Problem statement.
  • Review of previous studies.
  • Research objectives and contributions.
Research Method
  • Research design.
  • Data collection techniques.
  • Data analysis methods.
  • Algorithms, models, or approaches used.
Results and Discussion
  • Research findings.
  • Analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Comparison with previous studies.
  • Research implications.
Conclusion
  • Main conclusions.
  • Research contributions.
  • Recommendations for future studies.

5. Citation and Reference Style

Jurnal Riset Informatika dan Komputer (JURIKO) adopts the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) citation style for all in-text citations and reference lists.

In-Text Citation

  • Citations should use sequential numbering enclosed in square brackets.
  • Reference numbers are assigned according to their first appearance in the manuscript.
  • The same reference retains the same number throughout the article.
Examples:

Decision support systems have been widely applied in various domains [1].

Previous studies have shown that the Random Forest method achieves high accuracy [2], [3].

Several related studies have been conducted [4]–[6].

Reference List

  • The reference list must appear at the end of the manuscript under the heading References.
  • References must be numbered according to citation order.
  • References should not be arranged alphabetically.
  • Authors are encouraged to include DOI information whenever available.
  • A minimum of 15 references is required.
  • At least 80% of references should come from scholarly journals published within the last 10 years.

6. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively.
  • Table titles should be placed above the table.
  • Figure captions should be placed below the figure.
  • Figures must be of sufficient quality and clearly readable.
  • The source of figures or data must be acknowledged when obtained from third parties.

7. Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Jurnal Riset Informatika dan Komputer (JURIKO) Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform using the official journal template.

Before submission, authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript follows the journal template.
  • All author metadata have been completed accurately.
  • References have been checked and formatted according to IEEE style.
  • The article has not been published previously and is not under consideration elsewhere.
